Mrs. Crow's Full Day 3's PreSchool
March 2010 News

Lambs and Lions are blowing our way.  The windy month of March brings with it many learning opportunities.  We will be counting down to the first day of Spring as we continue to learn about seasons, weather, and numbers (1-25).  St. Patrick's Day brings time to discuss some traditions and customs and also to learn about the mission work of Patrick and how he established many churches throughout Ireland.  Our ABeka Bible curriculum will have us preparing for Easter as we learn the events leading up to Easter morning and what that means for us as followers of Jesus.  Our Easter party and egg dyeing will be April 1st.  Look for details posted on the sign-up sheet (big egg) outside our door.
Miss Mason and Mrs. Poli's 2's

The month of March brings shamrocks, leprechauns and nature into the 2's classroom. This month we will celebrate and learn about St. Patrick's Day and March wind. Your child will be bringing home art work that corresponds with our units. Boost your child's learning curiosity and encourage conversations about St. Patrick's Day and March wind. This month promises to have many rewarding learning experiences for our class as we pretend to be heavy and light winds moving clouds in the sky using white balloons and our gross motor muscles. Your child will also be exercising their math skills with poems such as "Five Jolly Leprechauns" and "Five Little Kites." We will also be welcoming Easter at the end of the month with colorful art projects, Easter egg hunts and an egg-dyeing party April 1st. Check outside our classroom for further details about the events ahead!
Mrs. Twigg's classroom news

It hardly seams possible that we are into the seventh month of school. Time has passed so quickly. You may feel that your home is becoming a museum of various art projects. They are very important to the children.
Just for fun, write down some of the letters of the alphabet we have learned thus far- A-R and let your child tell you what he or she knows- name of the letter, the alphabet animal friend and some facts about each one, other words that begin with the letter, etc.
Spring arrives this month, along with, hopefully, warmer temperatures. Our units of study will include of course, "spring", "wind" and "Easter" which arrives April 4th.
Our Easter party will be March 31st (snow date April 2nd). Please watch for the sign-up sheet in the hall.
Also, each child will need two (2) hard-boiled eggs to color on Monday, March 29th, please.
Thank you for all of your contributions for snack time. We greatly appreciate your help, which has been outstanding!
Bible memory time for March includes 1 John 4:19 and John 14:6. Our Bible stories will include miracles of Jesus and Resurrection. The children continue to enjoy Chapel with Pastor Ann each Monday, also.
More news will follow in April about testing and end-of-the-year conferences. Until then, have a welcoming Spring and blessed Easter.
